Meditation: Have A Peace of Mind May 6, 2009
Stress takes quite a toll in life. I have been busy with work, family and even school because of my kids. I barely have time for myself to the point that I can not even take a minute to freshen up and look in the mirror. Everyday is always a hectic day. I rush in the morning to prepare food for the kids, get them prepared and drop them at school. When I return home I usually have only thirty minutes to prepare for work. After work I still have to pick up the kids and catch some grocery items. I just feel tired all day.
Yesterday, I ran into an old friend Allison. I was amazed that she looked perfectly stress free. Thinking about it, we sort of have the same responsibility at home. She is a single mom like me with 2 kids to take care of. Besides, she also works for the community office. I asked how she is keeping everything under her control and manage to still look beautiful. She told me it was all about having a peace of mind. She is now into meditating classes and makes it a daily habit for her. She said that meditation saved her from all the stress. She even recommended me a site where I could learn more about meditation. It is just so amazing.
